Complex geometries
Explore contours, openings and relationships between solid and void.
TECHNOLOGY → PROCESS → POSSIBILITY → PRODUCT → BUSINESS
Waterjet cutting as a starting point for new geometries, components and stone products.
From technology to process. From process to what your company could make next.
Explore possibilities ↓The design meets the material along the path of the jet. Contours and cutouts become part of a larger question: how does this piece fit into the product?
Possibility begins with design. Realizing it depends on the material, equipment and cutting conditions.
Explore contours, openings and relationships between solid and void.
Design contrasts and junctions, checking how each material behaves during cutting.
Design parts that can come together to form a whole.
Connect cutouts, patterns and components with functional products.
Investigate jet orientation as part of geometry and the junctions between parts.
Consider the product and the arrangement of components on the slab together.
These are process directions to investigate. Each Chaosheng model’s capabilities must be checked for the application.
Ornamental applications are part of the waterjet repertoire. That repertoire can also inform components, surfaces, furniture and products assembled from parts.
The next question is one of design: what function, form or experience does your company want to offer?
Five visual provocations to broaden the conversation about form, components and fabrication.
Design: Ludson Zampirolli. The works shown are not attributed to fabrication on Chaosheng equipment.
What if a composition connected surface and space?
How can a drawing take on the presence of an object?
What relationships between contours and openings could create another language?
How can parts be arranged to create a new composition?
How can a geometric logic guide a surface?
In 2025, Ludson Zampirolli investigated angle control during cutting movement, the composition of components and the assembly of volumes.
The research connects jet orientation, junctions between parts and material use, with possibilities for furniture and three-dimensional products.
According to Ludson’s account, the research tests reached a thickness of 80 mm.
This figure belongs to Ludson’s research, not to the specifications of Chaosheng equipment. The records do not establish tolerances, certified angles, productivity or material-use gains.
The cut piece does not have to be the final result. It can be part of an assembly, define a junction or contribute to the construction of a volume.
Designing the assembly means considering geometry, support, fastening and finish from the outset.
The Chaosheng catalog presents two five-axis waterjet references:
AB 5 Axis Water Jet
AC 5 Axis Water Jet
The appropriate configuration must be defined according to the product, material, process and application. Neither reference is presented as the defined or recommended configuration for Brazil.
Work area, thicknesses, movements, head orientation, software, consumables and installation requirements need to be checked for the configuration under consideration.
The projects and tests on this page do not demonstrate the capabilities of these models.
Explore Chaosheng technologies →A useful demonstration starts with the material and product your company intends to fabricate.
A video excerpt helps introduce the process. A decision requires observing the part, complete sequence and test conditions.
Tell us what you want to fabricate: material, dimensions, operations, expected volume and machines your company already has.
From this context, the conversation can connect process possibilities, required tests and configuration.
